FAQs

Do you provide appraisals or opinions of value?

1

No. We review submissions only to decide whether to make a purchase offer.

We're a Colorado-based business and every transaction is well-documented with a formal written offer and bill of sale. We pay by business check — never cash or peer-to-peer apps like Venmo. You'll have time to consider an offer, and there's never any pressure to accept.

How do I know Linseed Fine Art is legitimate?

Do you buy artwork outside Western, Southwestern, or Native categories?

3

Our focus is Western, Southwestern, and Native artwork. We may consider works by American artists of other styles on a case-by-case basis.

That's common, especially with inherited or estate artwork. Go ahead and submit what you have — photos, any markings or signatures, and whatever history you know. We'll let you know whether we're able to move forward.

What if I don't know who the artist is?

Why do you make only one offer, and do you accept counteroffers?

5

We make a single offer to keep the process simple and pressure free — and no, we don't negotiate or revise offers. You're free to accept or decline.

We meet at a location that works for both of us — a coffee shop, library, or other convenient public spot near you is ideal. In some cases a home or other private location makes more sense, and we're happy to accommodate that. We just ask that the artwork be accessible and ready for inspection when we arrive — removed from walls and in a ground-level, well lit and easily reachable location.

Where do we meet?

Most submissions receive a response within 7 business days. If we make an offer and you accept, we work to complete the transaction within a few weeks — exact timing depends on location and scheduling on both sides.

How long does the process take?

7

There could be many reasons — the artist, subject, condition, current market, or our existing inventory. We aim to be transparent but may not always provide detailed justifications. We always appreciate you reaching out.
